Shu Uemura x Karl Lagerfeld Lipstick

Today I have the Rouge Unlimited Shu Uemura and Karl Lagerfeld lipstick collaboration in the shade Luxe Burgundy. Shu Uemura lipsticks are such good quality I adore it! The colour goes on vibrant and smooth without any lipstick primer or balm with a slight glossy finish. I was really excited to see this collaboration and this shade of lipstick, it's different from the all the other lipsticks I own :)

Jill Stuart Spring 2014 Cosmetics

Here is three things from Jill Stuart's Spring 2014 cosmetics collection "Thumbelina in Petal Chiffon Wonderland" :)!!!

First I have the Jewel Crystal Eyes palette in 07 Sphalerite Glamour. I normally stick to naturals, bronze, rosey golds and blacks for eyeshadow so I though the yellow and orange would be a nice change for this upcoming Spring. The colours are very light and shimmery, for a better show of the colours, I suggest applying an eyeshadow primer before :) There is two other different palettes to this collection.

Next up is the Lip Blossom lipstick in the shade 01 Ranunculus Veil. The details on the lipstick tube is to cute! The flower on the top lifts up revealing a little mirror useful for reapplying your lipstick on the go. The lipstick is smooth and creamy with a glossy finish. The colour goes on very lightly. There is 9 other shades to this collection.

Lastly I have the Nail Lacquer in the colour 104 Love Fool. It's an orangey coral shade with shimmer. As all Jill Stuart nail polishes, the cap is topped off with a cute rhinestone, for this collection it is a gorgeous iridescent light pink. When the polish dries, it smells like the signature rose scent of Jill Stuart cosmetics :)! There is two other shades to this collection.

Thank you to anyone who is reading!! This collection also has a Mix Blush Compact but I didn't bother to purchase it, any questions please ask! Thanks!! Xoxo

Jill Stuart Cosmetics Haul

Hellooo! Here is a little haul from Jill Stuart's cosmetic line. I was very slow on discovering the makeup line but I already adore it so much! I will have a few things from the Spring 2014 line to post later :) this isn't a full review so I don't have any swatches but any questions please ask me :)!

First item is the Loose Powder, I got it in 02 Lucent. The powder is soft and light and would work well as a makeup set, by itself or for the T zone areas for oil control :) The packaging is so adorable and it comes with it's own makeup puff as well.

Next is the Mix Blush Compact in 02 Fresh Apricot. It comes with it's own mirror and retractable brush that could clip on and off of the compact by the thin chain. So cute!!

This is the Moist Silk Jelly Foundation in 105 Tan. I tried a little of it on my hand, it has a smooth finish and blends to my skin well. The finish is not to shiny so it would work well on oily skin such as my own. If your skin is really oily, I suggest using a primer or any light makeup base before applying this. It comes with a little sparkly spatula so no need to use your fingers, sponge or brush directly in it, clean clean!!

This is the Lasting Gel Eyeliner in 01 Black Cat and the Eyeliner Brush. The eyeliner doesn't come with the brush. I only use gel eyeliner it's my favorite :) I haven't tried this on my eyes yet but I tested it on my hand, it goes on smooth, doesn't smudge easily and has a nice gel finish.

Here I have the Custard Lip Pot in 01 Cherry Custard from the Patisserie Collection. The finish is semi-matte and leaves a nice light tint.

Yay! Finishing up with the Fruit Lip Balm in 01 Tint. This is a nice lightly tinted moisturising lip balm good for dry lips, especially now in the cold winter ;(

Jill Stuart cosmetics are all in such cute, princessy packaging! Most products have a light and fresh rose scent, this makeup line reminds me of being in France..heheh. It is an exclusive line to Japan but products are available for purchase online :) it is a little pricey but such good quality. That's it! Any questions please ask! (I still feel like I'm talking to no one..hahah. That's okay, this is fun!)
 Thank you!! Xoxo

Simplehuman Sensor Mirror Review (first post!!)

My first review will be on the Sensor Mirror by Simplehuman! A Christmas gift from my mom :)!

I never heard of this mirror before until it was gifted to me, very impressed! The lighting in my room is no good especially now during winter time in Canada where the sun seems to be up for 3 hours a day..haha. The mirror is extremely magnifying to the point where you see things you didn't know were on your face, with the bright LED circling the mirror, you really feel like you're professionally doing your makeup or fixing your eyebrows!

The mirror is quite big compared to your regular vanity mirror which I find better. Retailed for around 200$.

The LED light never needs to be changed which is very convenient, the mirror comes with a USB cord and wall plug in to charge it when the batteries run low. The mirror can be switched on and off with a small button on the bottom but it isn't really needed due to the sensor that sets the light off when approached close to it and turns off when you move away from it.

Here is a picture of me and my puffy eyes in the mirror hahaha, I really love this mirror and I will be using it everyday to do my makeup and for my eyebrows! I hope this review will be helpful to anyone that is interested in this mirror! Thanks!! :D xoxo

Welcoming Myself!

Yay! For this upcoming year of 2014 I will be starting my own blog dedicated to beauty, fashion, events and simple things in my life. It has always been something I've been highly interested in starting but never had the courage or ambition to actually commence with it. Nearing the new year I thought to myself WHY NOT. Heheh... So mainly what you will find here is my opinions and reviews on beauty products, hauls and fashion :) (maybe an occasional rant heh). I have no idea how blogs gain popularity but this is start hey! I hope my blog will be as enjoyable to the readers (if I ever get any lol) as it is to me creating it and writing for it, xoxo!!!
